The River School of Homeopathy

Post Graduate Residential Week at Charney Manor

This TRULY INSPIRATIONAL WEEK will run from 9-13th November 2026 (with an option of a Monday to Thursday attendance) and bring together some of the most inspirational teachers. It will help you to expand and deepen your relationship with your clients, yourself and your well loved remedies.

Helen Johnson, Director of the River School of Homeopathy believes she has been fortunate to draw together some of the finest teachers there are, all masters and extraordinary in their own right.

In October last year, she was lucky enough to share a week with Richard Pitt and David Mundy. She says it was the best week of homeopathic teachings she has ever had in her life. As a college, we were also thrilled to have Bill Rumble teach as a guest lecturer for the day and we were all blown away. Geoff Johnson is also awesome as many of you will have experienced. So, Helen thought she would bring them all together to share with you all and create the most wonderful teaching week.

The syllabus for the week is:

MONDAY:

Richard Pitt with Helen – an opening ceremony and helping to conduct the proving plus an “interview” with Richard.

TUESDAY:

David Mundy, stimulated and expanded by Richard Pitt.
Party night – Richard, David and Bill are great friends and they will be joined by their other great pal John Morgan (Managing Director of Helios) who we are thrilled has accepted to come along to reunite and also celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Helios. This will be a night to remember with Richard Pitt as DJ …a fabulous party night for sure!

WEDNESDAY:

Bill Rumble, with added mischief from David Mundy.

THURSDAY:

Geoff Johnson, wonderful lecturer and homeopathic vet.

FRIDAY:

Helen Johnson, (she doesn’t put herself in the Master category) but she will be bringing together the week with a focus on going into the heart chakra.

Richard Pitt will be teaching Comparative Materia Medica. This will be a very interactive day where we will ask him lots of questions. By “interviewing “ him we will all get a much deeper and richer view of many of the common remedies, as well as being made aware of remedies that are very similar but are not strongly represented in the repertory. Having spent time with Richard, Helen has come to learn that his knowledge is encyclopaedic but is best presented through discussion. She will have plenty of questions to draw out his wisdom and is sure this will spark a very special day. She invites you all to question him. We will also be proving an already proven remedy that we feel needs an expanded proving of, with the trituration method which is very different, but equally as deep and powerful as a meditative proving. David Mundy will also be present. David and Richard are a great double act.

David Mundy is a living Master. His way of teaching and his perceptions are exceptional. He will be presenting his concept of the ‘Magnet and the Mirror’. It is one of the most elucidating teachings Helen has ever experienced. He also has created a brilliant wheel which teaches the multiple ways in which we can ‘enter’ the case and find what we need to prescribe. He has been teaching for over 30 years and has lots of wonderful videos of cases which makes for great entertainment. Helen highly recommends him.

Bill Rumble – it is hard to explain Bill but Helen says that for anyone who has seen him teach, they think he is awesome. A legend. A living wizard. The finest. Again he’s been teaching over 30 years. He founded the Welsh School of Homeopathy with Linda Gwillim.

Geoff Johnson – another awesome, incredible, exceptional teacher. Geoff is also a homeopathic vet and will be teaching his wonderful Mammals lecture as well as focusing on the use of viruses as homeopathic remedies. His lecture will also cover the Malaria Miasm and the Solanaceae with cases (Belladonna, Stramonium, Hyoscyamus, Tabacum, Dulcamara, Capsicum and Mandragora). Geoff is a much loved teacher and his Mammals lecture features as one that every human should witness.

Helen Johnson – she doesn’t put herself into the “master” category, but will spend the last day, bringing together the week and sharing insights of her own with a focus on identifying what we are looking to heal and how to become more perceptive to it. She will be sharing some cases, and doing some work on going deeper into our own heart chakras to become better case takers and more at one with ourselves. First thing in the morning, around 90 minutes will be dedicated to three of our wonderful post graduates to share their excellent Dissertations.

Helen believes you will leave highly inspired and will have had lots of personal insights too. Certainly, a transformational and healing week.
The course will run from 10am Monday until 3pm on Friday or option 2, 10am Monday until 6pm Thursday (no dinner).

  • The cost for the full week (to include teaching, accommodation and full board, Monday to Friday, is £1200. A £200 deposit is required asap to secure your place. The balance can be spread over the next 6 months from May to October with payments of £167 pcm direct debit.
  • The cost for Monday to Thursday 6pm is £1,000.

If we have space in the teaching room, there will be an option to join for any one day at a cost of £100 per day to include lunch and day time refreshments but not dinner.

At this stage there is not an option to stay 1 or 2 nights at Charney but if you wanted to come for 2 days, depending on uptake, there is an option to stay at a local hotel like Mollie’s Diner in Buckland Marsh, which is very close to Charney Manor and very nice. Alex will be creating a separate list for those interested in “day attendance only” to see if we can accommodate this but will all depend on uptake of those wishing to stay at Charney for the full experience (this is the priority) as the teaching room has a maximum capacity.

With regards to room allocation, we need to ensure that rooms are occupied to their maximum capacity eg, triples, doubles and singles. There are only 14 single rooms available (many of these are now allocated) and 4 to 5 of these will be allocated to Guest Lecturers so single rooms will need to be reserved on a first come, first served basis once the deposit is paid.

To secure your place please contact Alex to check availability and pay a deposit of £200 to:
The River School Limited

We do ask that you let us know once the deposit is paid…thank you.
